Upcoming Events:  Pre-Health Conference at the Husky Union Building on Saturday, April 11th, 2026, from 9am-5pm: This in-person conference is the largest pre-health conference at the University of Washington and is open to all individuals at a high school, community college, and/or undergraduate college level. Spots are limited, so we want to ensure students at Kamiak High School do not miss out on this incredible experience. Here are a few reasons why students should sign up today!

Students will have the opportunity to...

  1. Network with healthcare professionals, advisors, and students across various career fields such as medicine, PA, dentistry, nursing, biomedical research and more!
  2. Connect with Registered Student Organizations (RSOs) at UW, graduate school admissions, community organizations in healthcare, and volunteer opportunities at our Resource Fair.
  3. Attend workshops to broaden students' perspectives on what "healthcare"means, and how to be well-rounded healthcare professionals. Examples include:
    1. Learning hands-on techniques with a suturing workshop, dental workshop,
    2.  as well as learning how to take vital signs and read diagnostic images.
    3. Preparing for medical school by learning about the admissions processand the MCAT.
    4. Understanding the impacts Social Determinants of Health have onunderrepresented communities.
    5. Learning about the differences between the many areas of healthcare in various healthcare professions panels! 

Get tickets for the PHC Online Here where attendees must create an account before purchasing tickets. A light breakfast and lunch will be provided with ticket purchase. We also offer a scholarship application for high school students who may need financial aid for transportation and ticket fees. Look for the link in the newsletter.
