Test Optional Colleges/Universities
Many colleges and universities have suspended the requirement for college application testing (ACT/SAT). Be sure to check colleges/universities admission requirements and consider looking at this website: Fairtest for a list of colleges that are “test optional”. You will not jeopardize your chances for admission if you choose not to submit SAT/ACT scores for colleges that are test optional.
Kamiak will be offering the PSAT on Saturday, October 14th @ 7:30am. If you want to be considered for the National Merit Award Program as a junior, you will need to take the PSAT/NMSQT to qualify. The cost for the PSAT in 2023 is $30 to be paid in the fall. Pay with our bookkeeper in the Attendance Office and get a student guide and registration sheet with a Google link to register for Kamiak. PSAT/NMSQT
The PSAT/NMSQT is usually given in October each year, but given the pandemic we don't know if Kamiak will be a testing site in October of 2021. Registration information will be posted online in the Fall of each year if we are approved to host the exam.

Understanding your PSAT/NMSQT scores
ACCUPLACER
The ACCUPLACER is a placement exam that tests student's knowledge in math, reading and writing. Many institutions use the ACCUPLACER test results as part of the enrollment process.
Locally Edmonds Community College (EdCC) and Everett Community College (EvCC) use this exam to place students. Please visit the EdCC testing center or EvCC testing center for proctor information.
