Dress Code Reminder
Friendly reminder for Spirit Days: If you dress in a way that disrupts a teacher’s ability to teach, or a student's ability to learn you will be asked to change or go home. This day is not meant to make fun of how other students' dress and what you wear should not be selected based on another student’s race, national origin, ethnicity, sexual orientation, gender, religion, or disability. Making fun of others by dressing a certain way violates our harassment, intimidation, and bullying policy. This is not a day to wear a costume of someone. And remember if you feel like you have to ask if it's "ok" to wear, you probably shouldn't wear it.”

  • Costumes must comply with the dress code (page 16 in the Student Handbook)
  • Costumes must not interfere school safety
  • Costumes must not obscure your face or a staff member’s ability to identify you
  • Students are not permitted to bring weapons or facsimiles
  • Costumes must not incorporate blood or gore

Formal Wear Drive pic
Homecoming Formal Wear Drive
We have collected a ton of dresses, shoes, slacks, dress shirts, and jackets to support students who need something to wear to Homecoming but may not be able to purchase one. Our long term goal is to partner with Mariner to make this a district wide event to support students. However, since it’s our first year, we are starting small. Students who need an outfit for the dance for any reason can come “shop” the outfits in P16 on Friday the 11th and Monday the 14th during both lunches. We will find a space for them to try on the clothes and they can check them out for the dance. Students who check out clothes need to return them within one week of the dance. This will allow us to keep an inventory for next year as we work to grow our resources and create a long term system. I’ll be putting that in the bulletin today but feel free to mention it to students.
