Fire Alarms - False Alarm

Knight Community,
This afternoon, construction in our Performing Arts Center (PAC) is responsible for two evacuations after the school day ended. A vacuum caused a dust cloud that triggered our fire alarm system.
We were able to quickly determine there was no threat to the health and safety of our school community. After school activities have resumed. 
I am proud of our students and staff for responding exactly as we'd expect; when the alarm sounded, they evacuated quickly and safely. 
We are working with our District Support Services and Construction team to prevent future such incidents. Until then, thank you for your patience and the prompt response to alarms.
